The Department of Chemistry offers crystal structure analysis of organic and organometallic substances as a service.
The prerequisite is a single single crystal of the compound to be determined. After measurement and evaluation, the customer receives a list of the measurement parameters, lattice constants, atomic coordinates, a list of bond lengths, bond angles and torsion angles as well as drawings of the molecule and the elementary cell in various projections.
Measurements are performed with a single crystal diffractometer. During measurement, crystals are cooled with nitrogen.
